And Now… the Cliff’s Notes Version

When I returned to my office last Monday morning after being in Georgia the previous week, I was greeted with a package from our friends at Biola University in California. I recently visited there to meet with the marketing communications team to discuss the principles of Coherence: How Telling the Truth Will Advance Your Cause (and Save the World). My friend Irene Neller, VP for University Communications and Marketing, bought copies of the book for her entire staff and, after reading it, they met for a retreat to dig into it a bit more. In the package she sent this week was a copy of the “Cliff’s Notes” version of the book.

Jason Newell and Brian “Cliff” Bowman culled the highlights of each chapter for the team to facilitate discussion. I asked if they’d be willing to let me share their work with you. They’ve done great work in capturing the big ideas. Their clever and concise presentation brought both a smile and a sense of honor. And, while I don’t want to discourage you from buying a copy of the book, I think you’ll find these notes provide a solid overview. Thanks for the good work, Biola.

If you’d like to read a full chapter of the book, visit coherencethebook.com and sign up for the downloads (you’ll find videos there, too). Of course, the best students who are aiming for an A+ will want to actually buy and read the entire book, which you can do on that same site or amazon.com, bandn.com, or on your Kindle or iBook app.
